About Us

The brasserie is owned by David and Emma Hall, a local couple, who's aim is to deliver a quality, but unpretentious environment where people from all walks of life will feel welcome.

David was born and bred in Bedlington and has trained at various restaurants across England. He has been at the head of high profile, quality establishments, most recently at Alnwick Castle and The Sage Gateshead. In previous employment he has gained awards such as an AA rosette and has catered for numerous high profile people including HM the Queen, HRH Prince Charles, the Prime Minister and full ministerial cabinet.

Emma initially trained as a theatre stage manager at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Following a period in Leeds, she then relocated to the North East and was employed in the early stages of The Sage Gateshead, developing and heading up the conference, hospitality and events business. Emma has event managed many high profile, large scale events, including the Labour party conference, various large teaching union conferences and WOMEX, the World music expo for 3,000 people.
